Last time I was in NYC was just a few months before the attacks on the WTC. Unfortunately, I don't remember seeing the Twin Towers. And since I was only 14, I honestly didn't understand the implications of this day 9 years ago.
I hope to go back to New York soon and visit the Ground Zero Museum to pay my respect for my fellow Americans.
God Bless America!
Ok, you are so right!! I went to read her post & loved it!! Especially all the pictures. I want to go back to NYC too. I was there the first week in October 2001, just a couple of weeks after it happend. Heartbroken, I remember how raw all those emotions were for people in the City. But I will never forget the true sense of pride and patriotism experienced in this country like never before in our lifetime. Thanks Alana! Loved it!!
ReplyDeleteWow, I bet that was such a tough time to be in NYC.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE LOVE to go for spring break, let's do it! Michelle has moved to NYC, it would be so much fun to take students!!
Ok, I am SOOO ON BOARD with a NYC spring break trip!!! I know that a trend has started where schools in the SE region have been going to big cities- like Chicago, Boston, NYC, etc- for spring break. And one day I was thinking about it & decided NYC would totally be my first choice. I think we found some organizers for a spring break trip!! :)
