5 minute craft.

i was looking through some of our boxes and found this dollar store picture frame that was missing the glass...and i had the urge to craft...

confession: some of our things are not exactly unpacked, we literally had only 20 boxes, a coffee table and hutch when we moved in our house...it amazes me how much God has blessed us.

anyway...

i stretched and stapled burlap to the back of the frame to make an earring holder.
i used to have one and really like keeping my jewelry in sight so i remember to wear it...

such an easy craft, but i love it and it helps me stay organized.

next step: earring shopping :)

happy day project.

some blogs that i enjoy are dedicating this week to "the happy day project"filled with random acts of kindness.

happy day

julie (at joy's hope) and jeanett (at life rearranged) are challenging us to write notes to someone to encourage them and let them know how much we appreciate them.

my momma taught me how to write a thank you note like no other (...in the most humble way possible) but i rarely write notes to encourage and love on my friends and family.

so my mission today (and the rest of the week) is to write a few notes to peeps in my life. i know how much i love getting mail...so i hope this brings a smile to their face.

oh and also, click here for a really cute printable note.

i have a pretty expansive stash of stationery...this box makes me happy.

and i've made really cute and easy stationery too!

this week.

this field used to be our town house. it's still tough to process everything we have been through since the tornado, but God has been so good! such a great reminder of His love.

gotta love after halloween clearance.

don't worry, i got a cow costume as well.
some people might call this animal abuse, i call it fun.

i picked up 40 pounds of chicken breast today.
i ordered it through zaycon, heard great recommendations from other blogs.
cheers to chicken for dinner...indefinitely.

miami

last week we flew down to miami 4 days of training. we spent 6 weeks during the summer of 2010 and we are very fond of the city so we were looking forward to going back...didn't hurt that their version of fall weather is anything but chilly.

can't beat being greeted by the famous doubletree warm chocolate chip cookies.

our schedule was packed but we had a great time with friends and co-workers from around the southeast. of course we found time to dine at our favorite restaurant, fratelli la bufala...amazing authentic italian pizza.

night time view from our hotel room.

we love our job with campus crusade for Christ and are thankful we have opportunities to take time and to grow in reaching this generation of students for Christ.
