secret church

last friday watched the simulcast of david platt's secret church. i highly recommend y'all looking into david platt and what God is doing through him and his church in birmingham. he wrote radical, which i haven't had a chance to read but have heard amazing things about!

check out the secret church website for more information, but secret church is designed to bring awareness to the persecuted church. Christianity is illegal is many countries and followers of Christ are forced to meet in secret...which is where secret church is modeled from. secret church is an intensive study of the Bible and this one was based on learning what the Bible has to say about marriage and family. we were so blessed by the 6-7 hours of platt taking us through the Bible and pointing us to truth.

one of my favorite take aways was that my marriage is for God's glory alone. our focus must be to bring Him more glory in everything. the way we treat and love one another should reflect Christ.

"oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together"
