this monday justin and i had a lunch date at one of our favorite places in tuscaloosa, carmelo's.

they only have a couple options everyday but you could do no wrong ordering any of them.

the cornbread to start is amazing. we call it cornbread cake because it is so light, fluffy and buttery.

i went with the catfish and justin got country fried steak.

pecan fried catfish with fried green tomatoes and baby red mashed potatoes

country friend steak with gravy and corn and jalapeno hushpuppies and baby red mashed potatoes

so thankful for fun places like carmelo's and lunch dates with my husband.
