pizza pizza

a couple days ago, i found some public dough in the back of our freezer. doesn't that sound lovely...

anyway, i decided to make pizza for us. i made two separate pizzas, one for him and his boring simple taste and one for me and my taste.

then, i stumbled on this recipe for buffalo chicken pizza and i knew he would love it. however, the chicken i cooked for his pizza turned out nast-y. so his ended up being boring simple pepperoni pizza. but he still thought it was tasty, so it all worked out!

for my pizza, i wanted something a little more fancy. i decided to go with pioneer woman's version of cpk's bbq chicken pizza. fantastic decision if i do say so myself. 

very tasty dinners for us both.

words of wisdom.

we i made a couple of mistakes with millie.

1. teaching her to push open doors, apparently i am so lazy that i would prefer our dog do that for me.

2. showing her the wonders of the shower.

both of those lead to zero privacy, especially in the shower. i can't remember the last time i took a shower without her precious brown face pushing through the curtain to lick the water and hop in with me.

...at least she is cute.

cheddar, bacon & green apple sandwich

my parents introduced us to this amazing grilled sandwich. it sounds completely strange, but the flavors come together and taste oh so good.

the recipe came from tyler florence.

ingredients:

quality sandwich bread

grainy mustard

bacon

thinly sliced granny smith apples

cheddar cheese

we used a flat griddle to toast the sandwich until golden brown.

this saturday, our friends christie and d got married in north georgia. unbelievably beautiful wedding ceremony, reception and venue.

i'm 24!

friday was my birthday. not an april fools joke.

we spent the weekend with my parents.

friday night we went to a hibachi restaurant with the entire fam: me and justin, my parents, and my brother and his wife, danielle. we had lots to celebrate: dad's birthday, danielle's birthday, my birthday, promotions, seminary acceptance and my parent's 31st wedding anniversary. how precious!

i am so blessed to get to celebrate with my family. we had a great weekend with family and then celebrating a dear friend's wedding on saturday.

side note: i got photoshop elements for my birthday. can't wait to play around and figure it out! anybody know of good tutorials?
